aku-trekker-lite-iii-wide-gtx-boots
AKU Trekker Lite III Wide GTX Boots

The AKU Trekker Lite III Wide GTX is a lightweight, waterproof walking boot for day hikes in hill and mountain country. AKU's standard fit is narrow and low in volume, so the Wide version is the fit AKU UK recommends for most UK feet. It keeps the full Trekker Lite III specification, with more room across the forefoot and toes at the same length.

The upper and perimeter band are suede, combined with AKU's AIR8000® technology and a welded PU film, so the boot breathes well in every season while standing up to rock and scree. A GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort lining keeps water out and lets moisture escape, and the padded collar gives a snug, supportive hold around the foot and ankle on rough sections of trail.

Underfoot, a double-density die-cut EVA midsole cushions each step, and a medium-stiff nylon and EVA lasting board keeps the boot stable on long days carrying a medium load. The Vibram® Curcuma outsole grips on mixed ground and gives control on the way down. Each boot weighs around 570g. Manufactured in Europe by AKU. Supplied in Brown/Green, sizes UK 7 to 12.

Pair them with proper walking socks: the Extreme Pro Merino Premium Outdoor Pursuits Socks add merino warmth and cushioning on the hill, and the Highlander Taskforce Wool Blend Socks are a hard-wearing everyday option.

Key Features

Wide Fit -
