kelty-lowdown-chair-bungee-cord-beluga
Kelty Lowdown Single Camp Chair - Bungee Cord / Beluga

The Kelty Lowdown Chair sits lower to the ground than a standard camp chair, with the seat 30cm off the floor and a relaxed, slightly reclined back. You are down at campfire level rather than towering over it, and at a festival you are not blocking the view of anyone sat behind you. Kelty call it their ultimate camp chair, and the shape is the reason: it is built for settling in for the evening, not perching.

The seat and back are quilted 600D polyester, padded enough for a long night by the fire and tough enough for years of going in and out of the boot. It all sits on a powder-coated steel frame rated to 158kg, with adjustable arm rests and two insulated, size-adjustable drinks holders that take anything from a can to an extra large water bottle. When you pack up, the chair folds and rolls into its Carry-Wrap, which has a shoulder strap for the walk back to the car and opens out flat as a padded mat for the dog.

This is the Bungee Cord / Beluga colourway: a taupe seat and arms with a darker grey-brown quilted back panel and an orange Kelty logo, on a rust-orange frame. It is the single seat of Kelty's low range; the Low-Loveseat seats two at much the same height, and the Lowdown Couch seats three.

Also from Kelty: the same chair in Deep Lake / Fallen Rock and Dill / Duffle, the two-person Low-Loveseat Nest in Bungee Cord / Beluga with its two removable blankets, and the Essential Chair in Bungee Cord / Beluga if you prefer a conventional seat height.

Key Features

Low Reclined Design - Lower base and slightly reclined seat for relaxed, campfire-level comfort

Powder-Coated Steel Frame - Durable construction rated to 350lb (158kg)

Insulated Beverage Holders - Size-adjustable to take everything from cans to large water bottles

Carry-Wrap Tote - Multi-function carry wrap hauls extra gear and doubles as a padded dog mat

Quilted 600D Polyester - Padded, hard-wearing seat fabric

Adjustable Arm Rests - Set the arms to your own comfort

Ideal For

Campfire Evenings - Low seat keeps you at fireside level

Festivals and Events - Sit low without blocking the view behind you

Car Camping - Padded comfort where pack weight is no object

Garden and Park Days - A relaxed chair for days out

Technical Specifications

Brand

Kelty

Model

Lowdown Chair

Colour

Bungee Cord / Beluga

Weight Capacity

350lb (158kg)

Seat Height From Ground

30cm (12in)

Back Height From Seat

44cm (17in)

Dimensions

53 x 51 x 74 cm

Weight

3.35kg (7.38lb)

Packed Size

83 x 20 x 20 cm

Frame

Powder-coated steel

Body Fabric

600D polyester

Warranty

1 year against manufacturing defects

Warranty

Kelty cover this chair with a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
