Description

The Highlander Ben Nevis 65L is an award-winning men's hiking rucksack built for extended multi-day adventures, trekking and mountain use. Ranked joint 1st in Trail Magazine's Test of the Best and 1st for Best Value and Features in Trail Magazine Gear of the Year 2024, it's constructed from 200D nylon with PU coating and built around an airflow height-adjustable back system for ventilated, customisable comfort on long-distance routes. An internal lightweight frame provides load-carrying structure, while dual access to the main compartment via zip and drawcord, two zipped hip belt pockets, stretch elastic side pockets and an integrated raincover keep gear organised and protected across demanding terrain. Dual webbing strap load stabilisation on both shoulder straps and hip belt, a whistle chest strap and pole-park attachment points complete the feature set. The side panel carries Ben Nevis's own grid reference and height, NN123731 and 4409ft. It's backed by Highlander's 282 Year Guarantee, covering faults in materials and workmanship for the product's lifetime.

Also in the Ben Nevis range: the Ben Nevis 52L is the same pack 13L smaller and 40g lighter, for multi-day trips rather than full expeditions. Same airflow adjustable back, same feature set, same Duraflex hardware, same guarantee.
Choosing a hiking pack? The Ben Nevis 65L is the larger of Highlander's award-winning hiking flagships, sized for longer multi-day trips. To see how it compares with the 52L, the expedition Pinnacle and the everyday packs, read our guide Highlander Rucksacks Compared: Which Pack Is Right for You?.

    Poles and Ice Axe

Elasticated lower loops and upper shock-cord locks hold trekking poles or an ice axe flat against the pack, and the pole-park lets you stow poles mid-walk without taking the rucksack off.

    Dual Load Stability Straps

Webbing stabiliser straps on both the shoulder straps and the hip belt pull the load in towards your back. Cinch them once the pack is on and the weight stops swinging about on uneven ground.
