Snugpak Softie Expansion 2 Sleeping Bag WGTE

The Snugpak Softie Expansion 2 WGTE is a three-season mummy sleeping bag rated to 2°C comfort, built around the EEP (Elasticated Expander Panel) system. The EEP is an elasticated panel that lets you widen the bag on demand for more room to move or better airflow, then draws back in when warmth is the priority, solving the trade-off between thermal efficiency and sleeping comfort that most mummy bags force on you. Snugpak publishes what that is worth: the panel takes the chest from 75cm to 87.5cm and the knee from 60cm to 72.5cm, 12.5cm more room in both places.

Softie synthetic insulation gives dependable warmth while staying light and compressible, and a metallised Reflectatherm inner layer reflects body heat back towards the sleeper. The Paratex Light inner sits soft against the skin, the tough Paratex Micro outer keeps the bag packable, and a built-in LED torch adds practical campsite lighting without a separate light. At 1200g and packing to 24 x 18cm, it stays easy to carry. It comes in Red/Azure with a left side zip.
