Thermal Master DV2 Thermal Camera Touchscreen

The Thermal Master DV2 is the only thermal device in this range and a different tool entirely from the rest of the Nightfox lineup. Digital night vision amplifies what little light there is and needs infrared to work in true darkness; a thermal camera reads heat directly, so it sees a living animal through undergrowth, in fog, and in absolute blackness, with no illumination of any kind. Nightfox supply it exclusively in the UK.

A VOx 256x192 sensor at 12 micron is paired with a dedicated image processor that upscales the output to 512x384, which is how it delivers an image usually associated with far more expensive thermal kit. NETD is rated at 20mK or better, meaning it resolves very small temperature differences. Maximum detection range is 1000m, with reliable target identification at around 300m for a person and 400m for a vehicle. A 5in FHD touchscreen folds away so the camera can keep recording unattended, and 32GB of integrated storage holds roughly 15 hours of footage. It is a serious survey instrument for ecologists, land managers and stalkers.
