Highlander Eagle 3 Rucksack 40L

The Highlander Eagle 3 Rucksack is a 40L tactical rucksack built for multi-day camping, hiking and tactical use. The largest in Highlander's Eagle range, it adds a bottom zip compartment and a padded hip belt with admin pocket alongside the same 600D XTP construction, MOLLE webbing, clamshell opening and rapid exterior zip as the Eagle 2. Available in Black, Ranger Green, Grey and HMTC Camo. Weighs 1300g.

The Eagle 3 is the top of Highlander's Eagle range - 10L more than the Eagle 2 and built for multi-day use where the 30L becomes limiting. The 40L capacity comfortably accommodates clothing, sleeping kit, food and essentials for a 3-day trip, making it a practical choice for weekend camping, longer hiking routes and extended field use.

The bottom zip compartment is the key addition over the Eagle 2 - a separate lower section that also connects to the main compartment, giving additional flexibility for packing sleeping kit, bulkier layers or items that don't need regular access. Combined with the full clamshell opening and rapid exterior zip, the Eagle 3 offers three distinct access points to suit different situations. The padded hip belt with zippered admin pocket transfers weight onto the hips for extended carry, and provides quick access to a compass, phone or small items without removing the pack.

At 1300g it is 250g heavier than the Eagle 2 and 550g heavier than the Eagle 1, which is proportionate for the additional capacity. The HMTC Camo option and hook and loop ID panel make it suitable for military and cadet use, while the civilian colour options keep it versatile for hiking and camping.
