The Vango Nevis 200 is a compact 2-person trekking tent designed for backpacking, wild camping and DofE expeditions where low pack weight and fast setup are essential. At 2.02kg total weight with a 42 x 14cm pack size, it uses PowerLite 7001-T6 alloy poles and a 3000mm-rated Protex 70D flysheet to deliver reliable shelter in wet conditions while keeping the carry weight low. Twin flysheet doors let two people get in and out from either side without climbing over each other, and the All-In-One pitching system keeps setup time to around 5 minutes with an option to pitch the flysheet first in wet weather.

Choosing a backpacking tent? The Nevis 200 is a 2.02kg two-person trekking tent for backpacking, wild camping and DofE expeditions. To see how it compares with our solo, three-person and four-season tents, read our guide Wild Camping, Backpacking or Festival? Find Your Perfect Tent.
The rest of the Nevis family. Same tunnel design, same Protex 70D flysheet and PowerLite poles, in three sizes. The Vango Nevis 100 Tent is the solo version at 1.7kg with a single door, and the Vango Nevis 300 Tent sleeps three at 2.5kg. Shared between two, this one works out lighter per person than the 100 does carried alone.

Worth knowing before you buy. Vango tests the Nevis 200 to EN ISO 5912 for heavy rain and high winds, but is clear it is not intended for extreme storms or severe survival weather. It is a three-season trekking tent. The sleeping area is 215 x 120cm, which is 60cm of width each for two people, so it is a genuine two-person tent rather than a roomy one.

Warranty

Vango covers this tent with a two year user warranty against manufacturing faults in the fabrics, component parts and workmanship. Register the tent with Vango within six months of purchase and the cover extends to three years. Keep your receipt, as proof of purchase is needed for an extended claim. Start any claim with us and we will handle the return to Vango on your behalf. Products must be sent back clean and dry, or they may be returned uninspected.

The warranty covers normal, intended use. It does not cover general wear and tear, fabric flaws caused by excessive wear, water ingress from UV degradation or abraded seams, zips broken by forcing or jamming, over-tensioned seams pulling apart, buckles subjected to undue force, a carry bag broken through overloading, or condensation caused by insufficient ventilation. Pole breakages and any resulting damage are treated as fair wear and tear rather than a warranty fault; replacement poles and pole sections are available through Vango's spares service.
