Kelty Rad-Arondack Chair - Black Fern

The Kelty Rad-Arondack Chair in Black Fern is the patterned one: a dark green and black fern print across the seat and back, edged in contrast tan binding, on a charcoal powder-coated aluminium frame. Underneath is the classic Adirondack shape, the deep reclined back and wide flat arms you already know, folded down flat enough to drop in the boot.

Kelty built the Rad-Arondack line for what they call camp-leisure: car camping, the back garden barbecue and the touchline, rather than the trail. The chair is rated to 147kg on a 35.6cm seat, goes together with hand-tightened thumb screws, and packs down two ways: folded flat and held with its retaining strap, or rolled into its carry-wrap, which opens out as a padded dog bed.

The dark print earns its keep as well as looking good, because a season of campfire smuts and muddy boots shows far less on it than on a plain seat. Weight is kept sensible rather than minimal at 4.3kg, so this is a chair for the car, not the rucksack.

Kelty cover this chair with a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If it fails because of a manufacturing defect within that period, it will be repaired or replaced at Kelty's discretion, free of charge. The chair may need to be returned for assessment, which can result in a short processing delay. Please keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
