The DD Tarp S is the most compact tarp in the DD Hammocks core range, designed for solo bivi camping, quick shelter stops and lightweight travel where minimising pack weight is a priority. At just 2.8m x 1.5m and weighing only 450g, it packs down small enough to disappear inside a rucksack while still providing dependable waterproof cover in the field.

Made from 190T polyester with a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and taped central seam, it performs reliably in wet conditions alongside UV50+ sun protection and 19 reinforced attachment points. Supplied with 4 pegs, guy lines and a drawcord stuff sack, it arrives ready to use. It sits at the entry point of the DD Hammocks tarp range, alongside the larger 3x3, 3.5x3.5, XL and 4x4 for those who need greater coverage.

The DD Tarp S is built for those who want genuine waterproof protection in the smallest possible package. At 450g it is light enough to carry without compromise on a day hike or multi-day expedition, and the 2.8m x 1.5m coverage is practical for a single person and their gear in a lean-to, A-frame or bivi configuration. Its 19 reinforced attachment points make it adaptable for a wider range of pitches than its compact size might suggest.

Due to its dimensions, the DD Tarp S is not recommended as a dedicated hammock shelter - the DD Tarp 3x3 or larger provides the overhead coverage needed for that. As a ground bivi cover, day shelter, quick-stop rain cover, festival shelter or emergency backup, however, it is hard to match at this weight. Supplied complete with pegs, guy lines and a drawcord stuff sack, it is ready to pitch as soon as it arrives.

Care Instructions

• To preserve the strength of the material, avoid folding along the same lines too frequently
• Store in a cool, dry and dark place when not in use
• Ensure all gear (including cordage) is completely dry before storing away
• Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (above 40°C and below -15°C)
• Keep away from fires and naked flames at all times
• Do not machine wash - clean by hand only using lukewarm water
• Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can cause material to weaken
• Children should be supervised when using this product
• Ensure the surrounding area is free from hazards during use

Warranty

DD Hammocks provide a 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase, covering products used within the parameters of reasonable use.
