Constructed from 190T polyester with a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and taped central seam, it shares the same field-tested waterproofing as every other tarp in the DD range. Available in Forest Green and DD Multicam (MC) - the MC variant uses DD Hammocks' own Multicam pattern designed to blend into woodland, upland and mixed outdoor environments. It sits between the standard 3x3 and the larger XL (4.5x3m) and 4x4 for those who need even greater coverage.

The 19 reinforced attachment points support the same range of configurations as the 3x3 - A-frame, diamond, lean-to, tarp-tent and bivi setups - but with greater flexibility in how low or how wide the shelter can be pitched.

Users of DD king-size hammocks will find the 3.5x3.5 provides noticeably better coverage than the standard 3x3, and it is equally effective as a standalone ground shelter or cooking canopy for smaller groups. At 1050g it remains a practical choice for backpacking and trekking. For the largest coverage requirements, the DD Tarp XL (4.5x3m) and 4x4 offer further options within the range.
