DD Tarp 4x4m

The DD Tarp 4x4 is the largest square tarp in the DD Hammocks core range and the go-to shelter for groups, teams and users who need maximum overhead coverage in the field. Measuring 4m x 4m and providing 16 square metres of shelter, it is suitable for covering several hammocks simultaneously, creating a large communal cooking or living area, or providing enclosed weather protection for teams during bushcraft, expedition and field use.

Available in Forest Green and DD Multicam (MC) - the MC variant uses DD Hammocks' own Multicam pattern for effective concealment across woodland, upland and mixed environments. Constructed from 190T polyester with a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and taped central seam, it is as field-tested and waterproof as every other tarp in the DD range. With 19 reinforced attachment points it adapts to A-frame, canopy, lean-to and enclosed shelter configurations across a wide range of outdoor environments.

About This Tarp

The DD Tarp 4x4 is built for the situations where a smaller tarp won't cover everyone. Whether that's a scout troop needing communal rain shelter, a military unit setting up a forward camp, a team of bushcrafters working from a shared base, or a camping group covering multiple hammocks - the 4x4 provides the space to shelter everyone underneath it. The 4m x 4m square footprint is equally practical as a large canopy, an enclosed shelter against driving rain, or a covering for vehicles and equipment.

Nineteen reinforced attachment points give the same pitching flexibility as the smaller tarps in the range, supporting A-frame, lean-to, enclosed and canopy configurations. At 1290g it is heavier than the XL, but the additional material translates directly into coverage on all four sides - which matters when pitching fully enclosed against wind-driven rain. For the absolute maximum coverage in the DD range, the 5x5 offers further options. For paired or solo use, the DD Tarp XL or 3.5x3.5 are more manageable alternatives.

Care Instructions

• To preserve the strength of the material, avoid folding along the same lines too frequently
• Store in a cool, dry and dark place when not in use
• Ensure all gear (including cordage) is completely dry before storing away
• Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (above 40°C and below -15°C)
• Keep away from fires and naked flames at all times
• Do not machine wash - clean by hand only using lukewarm water
• Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can cause material to weaken
• Children should be supervised when using this product
• Ensure the surrounding area is free from hazards during use

Warranty

DD Hammocks provide a 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase, covering products used within the parameters of reasonable use.
