The Snugpak Ionosphere IX WGTE is engineered for users who need dependable shelter while keeping carried weight and pack size to an absolute minimum. Its compact hooped structure and low-profile shape make it particularly well suited to backpacking, military field use, wild camping and mountain environments.

The tent features a waterproof 210T polyester ripstop flysheet with a 5000mm hydrostatic head and fully taped seams to provide reliable protection in poor weather. A durable bathtub-style groundsheet helps prevent water ingress from saturated ground, while the breathable No-See-Um mesh inner tent improves airflow and comfort during warmer conditions.

The fly-first compatible pitching system helps reduce condensation exposure during setup in wet weather, while the inner tent can also be used independently as a standalone mosquito shelter in hot climates. The streamlined design sheds wind effectively and maintains a discreet footprint for minimalist overnight use.

Despite its compact external dimensions, the Ionosphere provides generous internal length for a single occupant with equipment and can accommodate emergency use by two people if required.
