Tracked Delivery From the UK to Australia
We ship every Australian order from our base in the UK using Royal Mail International Tracked. Once your parcel arrives, Australia Post takes over for the final delivery to your door.
Delivery Costs
Delivery to Australia is priced by the weight of your parcel. The exact cost is shown in your cart and at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.
Free delivery offers on our site apply to UK orders only.
We can send parcels up to 5kg to Australia. If your basket is heavier than that, checkout will not show a delivery option, so please email sales@taskoutdoor.co.uk and we will help.
Estimated Delivery Times
Royal Mail aims to deliver to Australia within 5 to 7 working days of dispatch. This is an estimate from Royal Mail and is not guaranteed.
Please allow extra time for remote and regional addresses, during busy periods such as Christmas, and if your parcel is selected for a customs or biosecurity check. Delivery times are counted from the point of dispatch, not the time the order is placed.
Same Day Dispatch: Before 2:30pm Monday to Friday, Before 11:30am Saturday (UK Time)
We aim to dispatch all orders the same day they are placed, Monday to Friday for orders placed before 2:30pm UK time, and Saturday for orders placed before 11:30am UK time. Orders placed after the cut-off, or on a Sunday, are dispatched on the next working day. No orders are dispatched on UK bank holidays, as there are no postal collections.
Tracking Your Parcel
You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is dispatched. You can follow your parcel on the Royal Mail website, and once it has arrived, on the Australia Post website too.
Prices, GST and Import Charges
Prices are shown in Australian dollars. The price on the product page is what you pay to have the item delivered to your door, plus the shipping cost shown at checkout. We do not add GST.
Orders of A$1,000 or less: there is no customs duty and no GST to pay at this value, so your parcel arrives with nothing more to pay.
Orders over A$1,000: the parcel needs a formal import declaration to clear Australian customs, and you pay the following at the border before it is released:
- Duty, depending on where each item was made. Goods made in the UK are duty-free under the UK-Australia free trade agreement. Goods made elsewhere pay Australia's normal rate for that item, which is usually 5% or less, and zero for some items.
- GST at 10% on the value of the goods, plus shipping and any duty.
- Fees: an Import Processing Charge set by the Australian Border Force, plus the carrier's handling fee.

Restricted Items
We do not ship knives, hatchets or other bladed items to Australia.
Some other goods are also prohibited or restricted imports. If you are unsure about an item, check the Australian Border Force prohibited goods list, or ask us before you order.
