The Jack Pyke Wool Blend Flat Cap is the traditional low flat cap shape in a textured wool blend, with a diamond-quilted polyester lining inside. The quilting is the part that earns its keep: it holds a layer of warmth on a cold morning and sits softly on the forehead, which a single-layer cap does not.

The two colourways are genuinely different cloths, not just different dyes. Dark Olive is a mottled olive-green wool shot through with a fine red overcheck. Tweed Brown is a brown and olive herringbone with a brighter orange overcheck, so it reads warmer and more obviously tweedy from a distance. Both are sized rather than adjustable, 57 to 61cm, so measure your head and buy that number.
