The Bolle Altus Polarised Sunglasses combine lifestyle styling with certified eye protection for bright outdoor conditions. A lightweight matte-black full frame houses Silver Flash polarised CSP lenses that cut glare, lift contrast and deliver high-performance protection from the sun's harmful UV rays.

The polycarbonate lenses carry a PLATINUM Lite anti-scratch and anti-fog coating, while the eco-friendly frame is crafted from 26.6% bio-based polyamide to reduce raw-material CO2. Certified to EN166, EN172, CE, UKCA and ANSI Z87.1, it is supplied with a case, microfibre cloth and box.

The lens transmits 13% of visible light. That is an EN172 shade 5-3.1 sunglare filter, equivalent to a category 3 tint, built for strong sunlight and reflected glare off water, snow and road surfaces. It is fine for daytime driving and is not intended for low light or night use.

Worth knowing before you buy. The Altus is a sunglare and safety lens, not a ballistic one. The frame is marked EN166 S, which is increased robustness, and the ANSI marking is Z87 with no plus, which is basic impact rather than high impact. Bolle publishes no STANAG 2920 or MIL-PRF rating for it. If you need a genuinely ballistic lens for range, military or airsoft use, the Bolle Tryon BSSI Ballistic Glasses, the Bolle Silex+ BSSI Ballistic Glasses and the Bolle Combat Ballistic Glasses Kit are all STANAG 2920 rated.
