Ironclad Kong Original Gloves
- Almost gone!

The Ironclad KONG® Original is the glove the KONG range started with, designed for heavy duty work in oil and gas, where hands spend the day around pipe, tongs, chains and heavy steel. Full-coverage TPR armour runs over the fingers, thumb, knuckles and metacarpal, rated ANSI/ISEA 138 impact level 2, and the glove carries the EN 388 P mark for certified impact protection. The whole shell is hi-viz orange, so a gloved hand stands out against steel, mud and machinery.
The palm is a double layer of synthetic leather with a dotted grip pattern, rated 4/5 dry, 4/5 wet and 3/5 oily, and it scores level 4 for abrasion under EN 388, the highest the test awards. A breathable nylon back lets heat out, an extended neoprene slip-on cuff pulls on and off with no strap to fasten, and a write-on ID tag on the cuff keeps a pair with its owner on a shared site. The whole glove is 100% machine washable, and is covered by a full 12-month warranty against faults in materials and workmanship, where 90 days is the norm across the category.

Safety Information
Match the glove to the task. The EN 388 rating of 4242AP breaks down as abrasion 4, blade cut 2, tear 4 and puncture 2, with ISO cut level A and the P mark for impact. The P is a pass or fail result covering the back of the hand and fingers; the palm has no impact protection. The ANSI A2 cut level is suited to general handling rather than blade work, and cut-resistant does not mean cut-proof.
Read the EN 407 rating carefully. X1XXXX means only one of the six thermal tests was performed: contact heat at level 1, the lowest of four levels. Burning behaviour, convective heat, radiant heat and molten metal splash are all untested and marked X. This is not a heat-resistant glove and must not be used for handling hot work or near open flame.
Check the stated ratings before use and do not exceed them. Inspect for wear before each use and replace when damaged. Keep hands clear of moving machinery where a glove could be caught.
