Pentagon Consul Crossbody Messenger Bag

The Pentagon Consul Side Messenger is 13.4 litres of tactical build wrapped in something that passes for a work bag. The shell is 500D Cordura® over a ballistic nylon base, with bonded nylon and Hypalon reinforcement holding the structure, but the shape is soft-cornered and the branding is a single small badge on the flap. Laser-cut PALS slots sit across the flap alongside a loop panel, so it takes a patch or a small pouch if you want it to and looks like nothing much if you do not.

What sets it apart from an ordinary shoulder bag is how it opens. Fidlock® magnetic fasteners hold the main flap and both sides, so it snaps shut on its own and comes open one-handed without a buckle to thumb or a zip to run. The strap uses a Fidlock® magnetic buckle too, and detaches entirely. Inside, a padded soft-touch nylon sleeve takes a laptop or tablet up to 16 inches, including a 16in MacBook Pro, with a four-pocket front admin pouch, an integrated MOD key tether and a hidden compartment against the back panel. The YKK® zips are reverse coil with a DWR coating, so light rain runs off rather than wicking in.

Carrying is on EVA foam-padded scuba webbing, wide enough to spread the load across a shoulder, with MOLLE/PALS webbing along the strap for a phone pouch or a torch. A luggage pass-through strap slides it over a suitcase handle.

Pentagon covers this product for 6 months from the date of purchase against proven manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If you think you have a warranty claim, contact sales@taskoutdoor.co.uk and we will handle it for you rather than sending you to the manufacturer. Products may need to be returned for inspection, which can result in a short processing delay. This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, which are not affected.
