The Kydex Customs 12 Gauge Rock & Lock Shotgun Magazine Carrier is purpose-built to securely retain AK-style 12 gauge shotgun magazines, including those used with Saiga-12, Vepr-12 and other rock & lock platforms. Engineered for duty, training and airsoft environments, it provides a rigid, reliable alternative to traditional nylon pouches.

Retention is achieved via a passive, adjustable system that grips the magazine body without the need for bungees, flaps or Velcro. Multiple adjustment points along the carrier’s outer edge allow the user to fine-tune draw resistance using a Phillips head screwdriver. Once set, the use of Threadlock or Loctite is recommended to prevent screws loosening over time.

The carrier supports ambidextrous mounting by swapping the mounting hardware to either side, while magazines are carried in a rounds-forward orientation to ensure predictable reloads and consistent muscle memory.

Cordura Wrapping & Colour Options

The carrier is available in a wide range of coloured Kydex options, specifically blended to match optional 500D or 1000D Cordura wraps. Cordura-wrapped variants are NIR compliant to reduce reflectivity under night vision and help minimise contact noise during movement. Minor fabric lift may occur in areas of complex geometry; this does not affect fitment or function.
