Magazine Retention

The Kydex Customs 5.56 NATO Magazine Carrier uses a passive, adjustable retention system to securely grip the magazine without the need for bungee cords, flaps or Velcro. This provides a cleaner profile and faster, more reliable access compared to traditional nylon pouches.

Retention strength is adjusted via multiple screws along the outer edge of the carrier. By tightening or loosening these screws with a Phillips head screwdriver, the user can fine-tune draw resistance to match personal preference and operational requirements.

Once set, the use of Threadlock or Loctite is recommended to prevent screws loosening during prolonged use.

Mounting Options

Each magazine carrier is supplied with one mounting system of choice and can be fitted to belts or MOLLE platforms. The carrier can be configured for left- or right-side use by swapping the mounting hardware.

Kydex Colours & Cordura Wrapping

The 5.56 NATO magazine carrier is available in a wide range of standard coloured Kydex options, designed to match Cordura-wrapped holsters for a cohesive loadout.

Cordura-wrapped versions are available in genuine 500D or 1000D Cordura fabric, both of which are NIR compliant to reduce reflectivity under night vision. Cordura wrapping also helps reduce noise and abrasion during movement.

In areas with complex geometry, such as the front fold, the Cordura fabric may slightly pull away from the carrier. This is normal and does not affect fitment or performance.
