Magazine Retention

The Kydex Customs MP5 Magazine Carrier uses a passive retention system to securely grip the magazine without the need for bungee cords, flaps or Velcro. This results in a cleaner, faster and more reliable reload compared to traditional nylon pouches.

Retention strength can be finely adjusted via multiple retention screws positioned along the outer edge of the carrier. By tightening or loosening these screws with a Phillips head screwdriver, the user can increase or reduce draw resistance to suit personal preference and operational requirements.

Once retention is correctly set, the use of Threadlock or Loctite is recommended to prevent screws explained over extended use.

Mounting Options

Each MP5 magazine carrier is supplied with one mounting system of choice and can be mounted to belts or MOLLE platforms. The carrier can be configured for left- or right-side use by swapping the mounting hardware.

Kydex Colours & Cordura Wrapping

The MP5 magazine carrier is available in a wide range of standard coloured Kydex options, colour-matched to optional Cordura wraps for a cohesive loadout.

Cordura-wrapped versions are available in genuine 500D or 1000D Cordura fabric, both of which are NIR compliant to reduce reflectivity under night vision. Cordura wrapping also helps to reduce noise and abrasion during movement.

In areas with complex geometry, such as the front fold, the Cordura fabric may slightly pull away from the carrier. This is normal and does not affect fitment or performance.
