What size rucksack do I need?
As a rough guide, 20 to 30L suits day walks and everyday carry, 30 to 50L covers overnight trips and longer days in the field, and 60L and above suits multi-day and expedition use. Think about the bulkiest loads you carry rather than the average.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is the grid of webbing straps found on many tactical packs. It lets you attach compatible pouches and accessories to customise the pack to your loadout. You can build out a setup with our bag accessories and organisers.
How should I fit a rucksack?
Most of the weight should sit on your hips via the hip belt, not your shoulders. Adjust the hip belt first, then the shoulder straps, then any chest strap. A well-fitted pack feels stable and close to your back.
Are the packs waterproof?
Most are water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. For wet weather, use a pack liner or dry bag, or a rain cover if one is supplied.
