Jack Pyke Wax Baseball Cap

The Jack Pyke Wax Baseball Cap is a six-panel baseball cap cut from 375gsm British Millerain waxed cotton, the same cloth that goes into proper field coats. That makes it a more useful everyday cap than a plain cotton one in British weather: it sheds a shower rather than soaking through, it blocks wind, and it holds its shape instead of going soft and shapeless after a season.

Inside it is lined with cotton tartan, which is both warmer against the head than a bare shell and a nice thing to find when you take it off. The peak is curved and soft rather than a rigid formal brim. At the back a brass slider strap with a JP stamp takes it to most head sizes. The colour is a dark olive green that sits naturally with waxed jackets and country clothing.
