Tracked Delivery From the UK to New Zealand
We ship every New Zealand order from our base in the UK using Royal Mail International Tracked. Once your parcel arrives, NZ Post takes over for the final delivery to your door.
Delivery Costs
Delivery to New Zealand is priced by the weight of your parcel. The exact cost is shown in your cart and at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.
Free delivery offers on our site apply to UK orders only.
We can send parcels up to 5kg to New Zealand. If your basket is heavier than that, checkout will not show a delivery option, so please email sales@taskoutdoor.co.uk and we will help.
Estimated Delivery Times
Royal Mail aims to deliver to New Zealand within 5 to 7 working days of dispatch. This is an estimate from Royal Mail and is not guaranteed.
Please allow extra time for rural and remote addresses, during busy periods such as Christmas, and if your parcel is selected for a customs or biosecurity check. Delivery times are counted from the point of dispatch, not the time the order is placed.
Same Day Dispatch: Before 2:30pm Monday to Friday, Before 11:30am Saturday (UK Time)
We aim to dispatch all orders the same day they are placed, Monday to Friday for orders placed before 2:30pm UK time, and Saturday for orders placed before 11:30am UK time. Orders placed after the cut-off, or on a Sunday, are dispatched on the next working day. No orders are dispatched on UK bank holidays, as there are no postal collections.
Tracking Your Parcel
You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is dispatched. You can follow your parcel on the Royal Mail website, and once it has arrived, on the NZ Post website too.
Prices, GST and Import Charges
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. We do not add GST at checkout.
Orders of NZ$1,000 or less: there is no customs duty and no GST to pay at the border. Since 1 April 2026, New Zealand has charged a small per-parcel levy on low-value imports, made up of a Customs levy and a biosecurity levy. Carriers usually pass this on, so you may be asked to pay a small charge when your parcel arrives.
Orders over NZ$1,000: the parcel needs a formal import entry, and you pay the following at the border before it is released:
- Duty, depending on where each item was made. Goods made in the UK are duty-free under the UK-New Zealand free trade agreement. Goods made elsewhere pay New Zealand's normal rate for that item.
- GST at 15% on the value of the goods, plus shipping and any duty.
- Fees: a Customs import entry fee and a biosecurity levy, plus the carrier's handling fee.

Restricted Items
We do not ship knives, hatchets or other bladed items to New Zealand.
Some other goods are also prohibited or restricted imports. If you are unsure about an item, check the New Zealand Customs prohibitions and restrictions, or ask us before you order.
