Pentagon ACU 2.0 Trousers

The Pentagon ACU 2.0 Trousers are built around a 215gsm polycotton rip-stop fabric that resists tearing without turning into a heavy trouser. Rip-stop is a grid weave, so a snag on wire or a branch stops at the next thread rather than running the length of the leg. Across four seasons of field use that is the difference between a repair and a write-off, and it is the reason this pattern has stayed in service across so many uniforms.

The construction is where the 2.0 earns its name. Stress points are triple stitched, the seat and knees carry reinforcement panels for kneeling and ground work, and the hand pockets have reinforced fillets where the fabric normally wears through first. Storage is deliberate rather than scattered: width-adjustable cargo pockets that cinch down so contents do not swing, a utility calf pocket for what needs reaching fast, and two rear pockets. External kneepad pockets take optional knee protection when the task calls for it, and a dart-pattern waistband keeps the fit comfortable through movement. Fastening is a YKK® self-locking fly zipper with an internal fly button and a PRYM® snap at the waist.
