SuperFire L28 Mini

The SuperFire L28 Mini is a pen-sized torch that does a serious amount of work for its size. At 29 grams and 135mm long it clips inside a jacket pocket, a toolbag or a glovebox and stays out of the way until you need it, then throws 121 lumens out to 52 metres.

The body is aluminium alloy, rated IP44 against rain and splashes. Five modes cover high, medium, low, strobe and SOS. It runs on two AAA cells rather than a built-in battery, which means no charging cable to lose and no flat lithium pack after a winter in the car: swap the cells and it works. Expect around 47 minutes on full output, considerably longer on the lower settings.
