The Snugpak Stratosphere Bivvi Shelter is engineered for users who require dependable weather protection while maintaining the smallest possible pack size and weight. Combining the portability of a bivvy bag with the increased protection and structure of a lightweight tent, it is ideal for wild camping, military use, bushcraft and minimalist outdoor travel.
The single-skin shelter uses breathable 50D nylon ripstop fabric with a 5000mm hydrostatic head to provide reliable waterproof protection in severe weather conditions. Fully taped seams and a bathtub-style groundsheet further enhance protection against rain, moisture and ground water ingress.
Its low-profile aerodynamic shape is designed to reduce exposure to strong winds while remaining discreet in outdoor environments. A rear mesh ventilation panel and roll-away mosquito net help improve airflow and comfort during overnight use while offering protection from biting insects.
Despite offering full shelter protection, the Stratosphere remains exceptionally compact and lightweight at just over 1kg including pegs. The complete system packs neatly into its included compression sack, making it easy to carry during long-distance trekking, fastpacking and field operations.
