Vango Cove III Drive Away Awning

The Cove III is Vango's compact poled drive-away awning for campervans, made for couples and young families who want valuable extra living space on weekends away. It attaches to the side of your van but faces forwards, the same way as the vehicle, so the windows and pre-attached front canopy look out at the view and give you more privacy from your campsite neighbours.

Choose the height that matches your van. The Low fits an attachment height of 180 to 210cm and the Mid fits 215 to 255cm; measure from the ground to the point where the awning will attach before you order. Vango's vehicle height guide lists vans such as the VW Transporter, Ford Transit Custom and Vauxhall Vivaro for the Low, and places vans such as the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Mercedes Sprinter in the Mid band; roof heights vary by model, conversion and load, so always measure. Both share the same 320 x 310cm footprint, Smoke colourway and specification, with a slightly longer kador and wider tunnel connection on the Mid.

The shell is Vango's Sentinel Active 75D polyester, waterproof to 3000mm HH and fire retardant, on lightweight PowerFlex fibreglass poles with TBSII tension bands for stability in changeable winds. Add a Drive Away Kit, sold separately, and the roll-away tunnel detaches from your vehicle so you can drive off for the day while the awning stands on its own sewn-in groundsheet. There is also room to clip in a Vango bedroom if guests come to stay. The Cove III is a touring awning, built for holidays and weekends rather than season-long pitching.

Technical Specifications

Warranty

Vango covers this awning with a two year user warranty against manufacturing faults in the fabrics, component parts and workmanship. Register the awning with Vango within six months of purchase and the cover extends to three years. Keep your receipt, as proof of purchase is needed for an extended claim. Start any claim with us and we will handle the return to Vango on your behalf. Products must be sent back clean and dry, or they may be returned uninspected.

The warranty covers normal, intended use. It does not cover general wear and tear, fabric flaws caused by excessive wear, damage from excessive winds or weather, water ingress from UV degradation or abraded seams, zips broken by forcing or jamming, over-tensioned seams pulling apart, buckles subjected to undue force, an overloaded carry bag, or condensation caused by insufficient ventilation. The Cove III is a touring awning, and prolonged UV exposure from long-term pitching speeds up wear. Pole breakages and any resulting damage are treated as fair wear and tear rather than a warranty fault; replacement poles are available through Vango's spares service.
