Description
The Snugpak Sleeper Expedition WGTE is a four-season mummy sleeping bag rated to -12°C comfort, built for extreme cold-weather camping, military use and expeditions in harsh conditions. Isofibre hollowfibre insulation keeps its warmth even when damp and re-lofts quickly after compression, a reliable trait when conditions turn unpredictable. The mummy shape, insulated shoulder baffle and drawcord hood work together to hold heat through the coldest nights, while the SuperSoft lining stays comfortable against the skin and the water-repellent Aqualight outer sheds light moisture.
At 2600g and with a large 33 x 28cm pack size, this is a bulky bag that is far better suited to travelling by car than carrying on foot. It is the warmest of the Sleeper bags and is at its best on vehicle-based trips and at base camps, where maximum warmth matters more than pack weight and size. It comes in Olive Green and Black.

Four-Season Performance, Built for Extremes

Insulation That Performs When It Matters
The Sleeper Expedition is built around Snugpak's Isofibre hollowfibre insulation — a siliconised synthetic fill that retains warmth even when damp and re-lofts quickly after being compressed in a stuff sack. Where down fails in wet field conditions, Isofibre keeps working. The insulated shoulder baffle and drawcord-adjustable hood close off the two main heat-loss points, so the rated -12°C comfort figure holds up in real use.

Built for the Field, Not Just the Campsite
The mummy profile isn't just about weight — it reduces dead air space inside the bag, so your body heat isn't wasted warming empty space around you. The Aqualight outer shell adds a layer of weather resistance for bivvy and basha use, while the SuperSoft lining sits comfortably against skin for extended wear. At 2600g it's a serious bag for serious conditions: cold-weather military operations, winter mountaineering, and base camps where the temperature drops hard overnight.
