Description

The Snugpak Navigator Sleeping Bag WGTE is a roomy rectangular sleeping bag rated to -2°C comfort, the warmer of Snugpak's two Basecamp bags. It carries extra Isofibre hollowfibre fill for colder nights, so it holds warmth well into spring and autumn, and the same SuperSoft lining and water-repellent Aqualight outer keep things comfortable and dry. A full-length two-way zip opens it flat into a square quilt for milder nights.

The generous rectangular cut gives plenty of room to move and suits anyone who runs cold or dislikes a tight mummy shape: it holds a full 80cm from chest to foot, where a mummy bag narrows to around 42cm at the feet. At 1750g it leans towards cadet camps, festivals and car-assisted trips where warmth matters more than saving grams. Left and right-hand zip versions join to form a double, and it comes in Olive Green and Blue.

Two Basecamp bags, five degrees apart. The Navigator is the warmer one, -2°C comfort at 1750g, packing to 28 x 24cm. The Nautilus Sleeping Bag is the same rectangular cut and the same 80cm width the whole way down, five degrees warmer-weather at 3°C comfort, lighter at 1400g and smaller packed at 24 x 20cm. Both open flat into a quilt and both zip together in left and right versions, so pick on the temperature you expect rather than the shape.
Same rating, different shape: Navigator or The Sleeping Bag TSB? The TSB carries the identical -2°C comfort and -7°C low, the same Isofibre fill, the same SuperSoft lining, the same Aqualight outer and the same 28 x 24cm pack size. The difference is the shape. This Navigator is rectangular: roomier to move in and it opens flat into a quilt, at 1750g. The TSB is a tapered mummy at 1650g, narrowing to 65cm at the knee and 42cm at the foot, which holds body heat more efficiently but feels closer around you. Pick on whether you want room or warmth per gram.
Not sure which Snugpak bag you need? The Navigator is the warmer of the two Basecamp rectangular bags, rated to -2°C comfort for colder three-season nights.
