At Task Outdoor, we aim to provide fit-for-purpose gear. Unfortunately, nothing is perfect and regardless of brand or price sometimes things do not work out. It is in these instances that we excel and our excellent customer service can help you get the problem solved in a flash.

If the item/s are unused and still in their original packaging we accept all returns up to 100 days from purchase. We do understand, however, that some of our specialist customers are sometimes unable to meet this 100-day limit and handle these matters on a case by case basis. We do not cover your return postage costs unless we have made a mistake or been at fault with delivery of the order or if the item/s are faulty. We go to great lengths to ensure all clothing has size information, we recommend that you please refer to these before ordering to save disappointment as sizes can vary from brand to brand and product to product.

When returning items back to us please keep in mind the value of the items you are returning and how quickly you need them to arrive back to us. We recommend that you use a Tracked service on items above £30 in value and ensure additional compensation for loss applies when needed. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, delay or damage to items being returned to us and cannot speak to the carrier for you as we are not the sender. If in doubt, please ask at the Post Office which format they recommend stating dimensions, weight and value. We only cover postage costs up to the value of the original cost that we paid to get the order to you, unless prior arrangements are agreed. Important: Please include a note with your full name, address, telephone number/email and a small description of the problem or exchange requirements. No printing of return forms needed.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will process your refund to the original payment method used for the order. Refunds are normally issued within 5 working days of us receiving the items, though it can take a little longer for the funds to appear on your statement depending on your bank or card provider.

Your Statutory Rights

Our 100-day returns policy is offered in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, for most online orders you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods for any reason. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and you are entitled to a remedy if they are faulty. EU Customers Only - Right of Withdrawal

If you are based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. This right applies to most standard goods purchased online and is separate from our 100-day returns policy, which continues to apply in addition.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, log in to your account and request a cancellation from your order history within 14 days of delivery. We will acknowledge your withdrawal by email.

Withdraw Order

You must then return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us. The cost of return postage is your responsibility unless the goods are faulty or we have made an error.

Once the goods are received and inspected, we will refund the full price of the items plus the cost of standard outbound delivery within 14 days. We may make a deduction from the refund if the goods show signs of use beyond what is necessary to assess them.

Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that have been clearly personalised or sealed goods that have been opened and are not suitable for return on hygiene grounds.
