The Highlander Blackthorn 1 Gen2 is a solo backpacking tent built around a low-profile tunnel design that keeps wind resistance low and pack size small. At 1.71kg including the drybag stuff sack, it is a capable lightweight option for wild campers, hikepackers and bikepackers looking for a reliable one-person shelter without unnecessary weight. The 190T polyester flysheet is rated to 2000mm with taped seams, and a fully sewn-in 190T polyester groundsheet rated to 3000mm keeps moisture out from below. An integrated bug net at the entrance provides insect protection, and an internal hanging line is included for drying or organising kit. Fire-retardant materials are used throughout the flysheet and groundsheet. 6.9mm fibreglass poles and an eyelet-and-buckle fixing system make pitching straightforward. Campers who need more room should consider the Blackthorn 1+ Gen2. Available in Scarab Green and HMTC Camo.
