AA & AAA Batteries

Maplin alkaline AA and AAA batteries, from a drawer-sized pack of 10 to bulk boxes of 80. Every cell is 1.5V and leak-proof with a 7 year shelf life, so spares keep in a kit bag, glovebox or emergency box until the torch or radio needs them.

The single-size packs come in 10, 40 or 80. AA LR6 cells are rated at 2900mAh for torches, lanterns, radios and game controllers; AAA LR03 cells at 1300mAh for remotes, clocks, thermometers and small torches. The mixed packs cover both sizes at once, from 12 AA and 6 AAA for the house up to 40 of each for workplaces, schools and clubs.

Three of the bulk packs add a Mercury analogue battery tester that checks AA, AAA, C, D, 9V and button cells under load, so you can sort the good cells from the flat ones before anything goes in the bin. Need something to put them in? Browse our torches and head torches.
