Amazonas Swing Nest Taupe Hanging Chair

The Swing Nest is the round one. Where a Globo encloses you in a sphere, the Nest is an open timber ring with a deep cushion dropped into it, so you sit down into the middle and curl up rather than sitting upright. The cushion is 140 cm across on a 120 cm ring, which is what gives it the soft overhanging edge.

The cover is Agora acrylic, spinneret-dyed and rated 7/8 for light fastness - soft as cotton, water-repellent, mould resistant and quick drying. Robust suspension loops spread the load evenly across the ring rather than pulling on two points. The frame is FSC-certified spruce from European forestry, impregnated in a dipping bath and layer-bonded by hand in Poland, with rustproof galvanised fittings throughout.

One thing to check before you order: the Nest wants at least 225 cm of hanging height. That rules out the Globo Single Egg Chair Stand at 170 cm. The Luna Rockstone Hanging Chair Stand adjusts up to 240 cm and does take it, and beyond that you are looking at a beam, a pergola or a sturdy branch with real clearance above it.

One point on siting: this is outdoor furniture. The upholstery is not certified against the UK fire regulations that cover indoor furniture, so it should not be used inside the house. If you had an indoor spot in mind, talk to the team first.
