DD Tarp 4x4m

The DD Tarp 4x4 is the largest square tarp in the DD Hammocks core range and the go-to shelter for groups, teams and anyone needing maximum overhead coverage in the field. Measuring 4m x 4m and providing 16 square metres of shelter, it can cover several hammocks at once, create a large communal cooking or living area, or give teams enclosed weather protection during bushcraft, expedition and field use.

Constructed from 190T polyester with a PU 3000mm waterproof coating and taped central seam, it is as field-tested and waterproof as the rest of the DD range. The 19 reinforced attachment points support A-frame, canopy, lean-to and fully enclosed configurations, with enough material on all four sides to pitch low and tight against wind-driven rain. It works equally well as a large canopy, an enclosed shelter or a cover for vehicles and equipment. Available in Forest Green and DD Multicam (MC), with the MC variant using DD Hammocks' own Multicam pattern for concealment across woodland, upland and mixed environments. It is backed by DD Hammocks' 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Care Instructions

• To preserve the strength of the material, avoid folding along the same lines too frequently
• Store in a cool, dry and dark place when not in use
• Ensure all gear (including cordage) is completely dry before storing away
• Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (above 40°C and below -15°C)
• Keep away from fires and naked flames at all times
• Do not machine wash - clean by hand only using lukewarm water
• Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can cause material to weaken

Safety Information

• Ensure the tarp is securely pitched and the guy lines are pegged out before relying on it for shelter
• Keep the tarp and cordage clear of fires and heat sources
• Children should be supervised during use
