Oz OverBoots Standard Cotton Sox Savers

The Oz OverBoots Standard Cotton Sox Savers are the plain, workhorse version of the classic Australian farm sox saver: a short skirt of cotton drill with an elasticated top that sits round your ankle and hangs down over the top of your boot. That small overlap closes the gap between sock and boot, which is where grass seeds, clippings, sawdust, soil and grain get in, work down into your socks and end up rubbing your feet raw by the end of the day.

They are made from 100% workwear-standard 190g cotton drill, the same weight of fabric used for work shirts and trousers, so they stand up to daily wear in the yard, the field and the workshop. The elastic holds them snug at the ankle without straps or buckles. Slip them over your feet before you pull your boots on, then let the skirt drop down over the boot top.

Oz OverBoots are run from a working arable farm in North Bedfordshire, set up in 2015 after Andrew came back from Australia wearing sox savers and saw the demand for them in the UK and Europe. This standard pair comes in six colours: Green, Tan, Navy, Hot Pink, Black and Brown. Cotton drill keeps out dry muck; for wet ground, choose oilskin.
