36" Hooligan Bar

The 36" Hooligan Bar is a professional access and rescue tool, also known as a Halligan tool, made for fire and rescue services and other authorised professionals. It is built for gaining controlled access to outward-opening doors, grilles, gates and similar structures, removing fixtures during authorised access, and lifting materials during rescue or maintenance work.

The head and claw are forged from high alloy steel and heat-treated for maximum strength, and fitted to a 2.5 cm (1 in) stress-proof bar. At one end, machine-sharpened claws give precise leverage, and the parallel opening between them suits gas valve shut-offs, locks and hasps. At the other, the Duckbill (adze) has a long, smooth incline for controlled insertion into door and window frames, and the pike is long, tapered and gently curved for precise placement. A recessed nail and spike puller sits in the claw.

The bar has machine-grooved non-slip grip sections that work with heavy gloves, and the whole tool carries an electroless nickel finish for corrosion resistance and easy maintenance. At 36 in long and 5.4 kg, it is the longest Hooligan bar in the range, and the extra length gives more reach and more leverage at the working end.
