Skywoods L50270 Camping Lantern - 500 Lumen

The L50270 is the traditional-looking lantern in Skywoods' camping range, a warm 360 degree light in a shape that has never really needed improving. Fifteen 2835 LEDs sit behind a translucent reflector cap, and a short press of the switch cycles high, medium and low before reaching an SOS strobe.

The useful part is how it hangs. The collapsible handle folds flat over the top for carrying or clipping to a ridge line, and there is a second hook hidden in the base for hanging it upside down over a table. Twist the reflector cap off first and the bare bulb throws light straight down, instead of the handle casting a shadow across everything below it. It stands on a flat base as well. The built-in 1600mAh battery gives three to fifteen hours depending on the mode and recharges over USB-C in two hours, with an indicator on the body showing charge state.
