The Snugpak Hammock Cocoon WGTE is a purpose-built insulation system designed to solve one of hammock camping’s biggest challenges: heat loss caused by compressed insulation. When sleeping in a hammock, traditional sleeping bags and clothing can lose much of their insulating ability due to tension beneath the body. The Hammock Cocoon addresses this by fully enclosing the hammock in a generous insulated layer, creating a warm pocket of trapped air around the sleeper.
Inspired by Snugpak’s sleeping bag technology, the Cocoon uses Travelsoft synthetic insulation with a fill weight similar to their two-season sleeping bags. This provides dependable warmth while remaining resilient to moisture and repeated packing. The outer Micro Diamond fabric offers durability, while the Paratex antibacterial lining helps manage odours during extended use in the field.
A full-length zip runs along the side of the Cocoon, allowing straightforward access into and out of your hammock without dismantling your setup. Adjustable elasticated guy lines help fine-tune the fit and maintain airflow, ensuring comfort across a wide range of hammock configurations.
Due to the flexibility of hammock systems and varying environmental factors, there is no fixed comfort temperature rating. Users are encouraged to test their setup gradually and adjust layers as required. Please note: the Hammock Cocoon is not load-bearing; your hammock must support your body weight at all times.
