The Snugpak Softie Expansion 2 WGTE is a mummy-style sleeping bag rated to 2°C comfort, built around an EEP (Elasticated Expander Panel) system that lets you widen the bag when you need more room or increased airflow. Softie® synthetic insulation delivers dependable warmth while remaining lightweight and compressible, and a Reflectatherm metallised inner layer adds at least 15% additional warmth by reflecting body heat back towards the sleeper. An integrated LED torch provides practical campsite lighting without needing to carry a separate light.

The EEP system is the defining feature - an elasticated panel running the length of the bag that expands when you want more room to move or need to cool down, then draws back in when warmth is the priority. It solves the trade-off between thermal efficiency and sleeping comfort that most mummy bags force you to make, without adding meaningful weight or bulk.

Softie® insulation is Snugpak's own exclusive synthetic fill, developed to mirror the structure of natural down using superfine yarns. The result is a down-like feel with the practical advantage of retaining thermal properties when damp - useful in unpredictable UK conditions. The Reflectatherm layer adds a further 15% warmth by reflecting body heat back, with no perceptible increase in weight.
