Orbie 35 Cooler - Orange

The Orbie 35 is a rotomoulded hard cooler built to hold ice for days rather than hours. The body and lid are moulded as single pieces of LDPE with up to three inches of insulating foam between the walls, so there are no seams or bonded joins anywhere that could split under a drop or a knock. Orbie rate it at 35 quarts, which is 33 litres, or 36 x 330ml cans with room for the ice around them.

The lid closes onto a full-perimeter rubber gasket of the sort you would find on a fridge door, pulled down by two rubber T-latches that hook over moulded lugs and can be worked with cold hands or gloves on. A padlock hasp sits between them in the front lip, a brass bottle opener is bolted to the lip beside it, and a screw-out drain plug empties the meltwater without tipping the box over.

This is the orange finish, the loudest of the three and the one you will find first in a packed boot or a dark tent. It ships with both accessories as standard: a coated wire basket that hangs off the internal rails to keep food up out of the meltwater, and a white divider that splits the box into two compartments and lifts out to work as a chopping board. Braided rope handles with moulded grips sit in recesses at each end, the top is flat enough to sit or stand a stove on, and the feet are non-slip.

Warranty

Orbie cover this cooler with a 3 Year Warranty Guarantee from the date of purchase, against any defects in material or workmanship under normal use. If it fails due to a manufacturing defect within that period it will be repaired or replaced at Orbie's discretion, free of charge. If you believe you have a warranty claim, please contact sales@taskoutdoor.co.uk with your order number and a description of the fault. The cooler may need to be returned for assessment, which can result in a short processing delay. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Warranty Exclusions

• Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, alterations or improper handling
• Damage or loss of contents due to leakage or failure to properly secure the lid
• Incidental or consequential damages
• General wear and tear

Safety Information

The LDPE body is rated for a safe temperature range of -50°C to 85°C, with a melting point of 105°C to 115°C. If you are using the cooler to hold hot food, Orbie's guidance is to let boiled water settle to 85°C before it goes in, and to wrap the meat in foil and a cloth rather than relying on the box alone. Do not pour water above 85°C into it. Keep the lid unlatched when the cooler is empty and stored, and keep children from climbing inside a latched box.
