Orbie 55 Wheeled Cooler - Orange

The Orbie 55 is the wheeled one. Same rotomoulded LDPE construction as the 35, same three inches of insulation and the same refrigerator-style lid gasket, but scaled up to 58 quarts, which is 55 litres, or 74 x 330ml cans. At 14.5kg empty and a good deal more once it is loaded, it is built to be towed rather than carried, and that is what the wheels and the handle are for.

Two chunky treaded wheels run on a steel axle at one end, sized to take grass, gravel, shingle and sand rather than just a smooth car park. At the other end a folding tubular steel handle swings up to tow with and drops flat against the body when you are not using it. Braided rope handles with moulded grips sit at both ends as well, for the two-person lift into a boot or a boat.

The lid is where the 55 earns its keep beyond the size. Moulded into the top are a measuring rule marked in both centimetres and inches, and two cup holder recesses, one at each end, so a drink can be put down on a surface that is already flat and stable. A brass bottle opener is bolted into the front lip, the two black cam latches pull the lid down onto the gasket, and a screw-out drain plug on the handle end empties the meltwater. The coated wire basket and the white divider that doubles as a chopping board are both included.

Orbie cover this cooler with a 3 Year Warranty Guarantee from the date of purchase, against any defects in material or workmanship under normal use. If it fails due to a manufacturing defect within that period it will be repaired or replaced at Orbie's discretion, free of charge. If you believe you have a warranty claim, please contact sales@taskoutdoor.co.uk with your order number and a description of the fault. The cooler may need to be returned for assessment, which can result in a short processing delay. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Warranty Exclusions

Safety Information

Loaded, this cooler is heavy enough to cause injury if it is lifted badly or dropped on a foot. Use the wheels and the tow handle wherever you can, and lift with two people using the rope handles at each end. The LDPE body is rated for a safe temperature range of -50°C to 85°C, with a melting point of 105°C to 115°C, so do not pour water hotter than 85°C into it. Keep the lid unlatched when the cooler is empty and stored, and keep children from climbing inside a latched box.
