Amazonas Globo Siena Uno Seat

The Siena Uno is the single-seat sofa in the Amazonas Globo range - a static, deeply upholstered seat rather than something that hangs. It was designed to sit next to the Globo hanging chairs, so the timber, the fabric and the proportions all match, and a Globo and a Siena together read as one set rather than two bits of furniture.

The frame is FSC-certified spruce from European forestry, impregnated in a dipping bath and layer-bonded by hand in Poland, with rustproof galvanised fittings throughout. The cushion is thick, fixed securely to the frame and comes off for washing.

Fabric depends on the colour you pick, and this is the thing worth reading twice. Cream is 100% cotton, softer to the touch but far less happy left out in the rain. Anthracite, Taupe, Verde, Brisa and Oliva are Agora solution-dyed acrylic, which is water-repellent, mould resistant, fast drying and rated 7/8 for light fastness. If the seat is going to live outside all season, one of the five acrylic shades is the sensible choice.

One point on siting: this is outdoor furniture. The upholstery is not certified against the UK fire regulations that cover indoor furniture, so it should not be used inside the house. If you had an indoor spot in mind, talk to the team first.
