The deep pile construction traps heat more effectively than a standard polyester fleece, making it a solid choice for cold mornings in the field or long days outdoors in poor conditions. Contrasting elbow and shoulder patches reinforce the highest-wear areas, while the drawstring hood, adjustable waist cord and elasticated knitted cuffs give a close, wind-resistant fit when the temperature drops.
