Amazonas Kronos Wooden Hammock Stand (M)

The Kronos is the wooden hammock stand in the Amazonas range, and the one to pick if you want the frame to be part of the look rather than something to hide. At 358 cm long it takes any hammock between 270 and 320 cm, which covers the singles and a good number of the doubles.

It is built from spruce that has been through an immersion impregnation bath, which is what gives Amazonas timber its green-olive tone and protects it from weather, insects and fungi. High-quality layer bonding holds the curve, and the fittings are galvanised stainless so nothing rusts into the wood.

At 14.5 kg it is lighter than it looks, and it flat-packs to roughly 163 x 34 x 11 cm for winter storage. The metal alternative in the range is the Sumo Rockstone, which costs less and adjusts its length, but does not have the presence of timber.
