Amazonas Lounge Bed - Anthracite

The Lounge Bed is the largest thing Amazonas make for lying down in a garden. At 190 x 130 cm of padded surface it is a day bed rather than a hammock, wide enough for two adults side by side and thick enough that it feels more like a mattress than a sling. If you know the Fat Hammock, this is the same idea taken considerably further.

The frame is FSC-certified spruce from European forestry, impregnated in a dipping bath and layer-bonded by hand in Poland, with rustproof galvanised fittings throughout. The cover is Agora solution-dyed acrylic rated 7/8 for light fastness - water-repellent, mould resistant, very fast drying and soft as cotton. The filling is water-repellent polypropylene, so a shower does not leave you with a sodden mattress. The cover is reversible, giving two shades from the one piece.

It arrives in two parcels, the upholstery in one and the timber in the other, and the combined 30.6 kg means it is worth planning where it goes before you build it.

One point on siting: this is outdoor furniture. The upholstery is not certified against the UK fire regulations that cover indoor furniture, so it should not be used inside the house. If you had an indoor spot in mind, talk to the team first.
