Amazonas Rocking Lounger

The Rocking Lounger is the one piece in the Amazonas range that needs nothing to hang from. The curved timber base does the rocking, so it sits straight on a lawn, a patio or a deck with no stand, no beam and no fixings. The reclining surface is contoured rather than flat, and a neck cushion is built into the head end.

The frame is FSC-certified spruce from European forestry, impregnated in a dipping bath and layer-bonded by hand in Poland, with rustproof galvanised fittings throughout. The mattress is extra thick, water-repellent and quick drying, and it is reversible, so the wear gets spread across two faces.

The cover here is Dralon acrylic rather than the Agora used on the Globo chairs. It is still soft, weather resistant and easy to clean, but its light fastness is rated 6-7/8 against Agora's 7/8, so in a spot that gets full sun all day the Agora products will hold their colour a little better.

One point on siting: this is outdoor furniture. The upholstery is not certified against the UK fire regulations that cover indoor furniture, so it should not be used inside the house. If you had an indoor spot in mind, talk to the team first.
