Amazonas Swinger Kids Hanging Chair

The Swinger is the children's chair in the Amazonas range, built for ages three to six. It is a scaled-down hanging seat rather than a swing, at 60 x 35 cm, and it weighs 1.9 kg, so it can be moved from a bedroom to a branch and back without any fuss.

The cloth is the same sort of material used on rucksacks: tough, UV-resistant and hard to damage. All the metal parts are stainless steel so nothing rusts, and the wooden bars are oil-finished. That combination is why it copes with being left outdoors as happily as it hangs from a ceiling hook indoors.

It wants around 180 cm of hanging height and should sit about 30 cm off the ground. Common places it ends up: under the frame of a high-sleeper bed, in a corner of a bedroom, or from a sturdy branch in the garden.

As with any children's hanging seat, fix it to something genuinely solid, check the fixing regularly and keep younger children supervised while they are using it.
