Maplin Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker

The Maplin Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker puts two 66mm speakers into one cylindrical body for stereo sound, and it is rated IPX5 against water. Pair a phone or tablet over Bluetooth 5.1 from up to 10 metres away and it will keep playing by the pool, round the campsite or when the rain comes in.

You do not need a phone to use it. Plug in a USB flash drive, or load a microSD card of up to 64GB, and play your music straight from the speaker. Playback and volume buttons sit on the band around the body, and the rechargeable battery gives around 4 to 6 hours of listening before it needs topping up over USB-C.

IPX5 protects against jets of water from any angle, so rain and splashes are fine. It is not made to be submerged, so keep it out of the pool itself. Frequency response runs from 120Hz to 15kHz.
