Maplin Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker with Carabiner Clip

The Maplin Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is a compact clip-on speaker, 79 x 95 x 44mm, with a carabiner that hooks it onto a rucksack strap, bike or belt. The rugged rubberised casing is rated IPX6, so rain, splashes and spilt drinks will not stop the music, though it is not made to go under water.

Sound comes from a 5W speaker with a 45mm driver. Bluetooth 5.0 streams from a phone, tablet or laptop up to 10 metres away, or you can leave the phone behind and play music from a USB drive or a microSD card instead.

The built-in 500mAh battery gives up to 4 hours of continuous playback and recharges in about 2 hours. It is light enough to forget it is on your pack until you want it, which makes it a good fit for beach days, campsites, picnics and long walks.
