Ledlenser AF12R Work Rechargeable Area Light 8000 Lumens

The Ledlenser AF12R Work is the largest rechargeable floodlight in Ledlenser’s AF Work range, with 8000 lumens and a 135 metre beam. It is made for lighting big spaces: building sites, basements and plant rooms, tunnels, roads and yards, and the kind of night work where a single floodlight has to cover the whole area. Ledlenser aim it at civil engineers, construction trades and emergency and relief teams, but it still carries in one hand.

Hybrid Power means it runs on its built-in rechargeable battery where there is no power, or from the mains for as long as the job lasts, charging while it runs. Colour temperature adjusts in five steps from a warm 3000K to a cool 6500K. Ledlenser’s Multi-Concentrated Light places the LEDs in a reflector grid that puts the light onto the work area with reduced glare, and a clip-on diffuser turns it into soft, even light. A memory function restarts it on the last setting used, a lock stops it switching on in transit, and Temperature Control protects the LEDs from overheating.

Five brightness levels run from 8000 lumens for 1 hour down to 850 lumens for 12 hours 30 minutes on battery. The panel pivots in a U-shaped bracket that doubles as a carry handle and floor stand, and the light also mounts on a tripod to raise it above head height. The 382mm aluminium housing is rated IP67 against dust and water, drop tested to 1.5 metres and weighs 2590g. It comes in a carry case with a power adapter and USB-C charging cable.

Warranty

Ledlenser cover the AF12R Work with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty as standard. Register the light online with Ledlenser within 12 weeks of purchase and the warranty is extended to 7 years. You will need the warranty card from the box and the 10-digit serial number printed on the light, and you should keep your proof of purchase, as Ledlenser may ask for it when a claim is made.

Warranty Exclusions

The built-in rechargeable battery is covered for 2 years for proper function, and the gradual loss of capacity that comes with age and use is not a fault. The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, misuse, unauthorised alterations or repairs, cases, charging cables, surface coatings or embossing.
